Tribe of Ruben

From the Land of Milk and Honey,
where the Tribe of Ruben once claimed its portion of Israel,
this spirit was born in Tel Aviv.

Matured four and a half years in red wine casks,
it took the deep colour of its name—
Rodner, from the Norwegian rød, red
as the evening over the Jordan,
as the thread of blood and belonging.

Bottled for Ruben’s fiftieth year:
a liquid covenant between the ancient tribe
and the man who carries its name.

The Heritage Milestone

At Heritage Oaks, we celebrate five decades of craftsmanship. This special bottling is distilled at our historic distillery, capturing the essence of our 50th year in every drop. It is a tribute to the legacy of the oak and the amber spirit that defines our heritage.

Nose
Palate

A rush of black cherry and ripe plum, followed by damson jam, dark chocolate and polished oak. With time, sweeter notes emerge vanilla pod, dried fig and a little cinnamon.

Full-bodied and generous, with blackberry compote, cherry liqueur and dark plum spreading across the palate. Cocoa, caramel and sweet baking spice follow, while the cask strength adds a muscular peppery warmth. Beneath it all runs a fine thread of wine tannin, giving structure and pleasantly dry counterpoint to the fruit.

Finish

Long and warming, the dark fruit slowly giving way to bitter chocolate, clove and toasted oak. A final flicker of black cherry and drying red wine tannin lingers after the sweetness has faded.
